Software engineering
Clear module boundaries, explicit interfaces, versioned APIs and automated testing at every level that matters.
Technology
The tools, platforms and methods behind our work. We choose technologies for how well they can be understood, reviewed, tested and maintained over the years a system stays in service, rather than for how new they are.
Practice areas
Our selection favors mature open standards, well-documented components and architectures a small team can operate.
Clear module boundaries, explicit interfaces, versioned APIs and automated testing at every level that matters.
Infrastructure defined as code, so environments can be reproduced, reviewed and rebuilt from version-controlled definitions.
Virtual machines and containers with clear network segmentation, centralized identity and tested backup and recovery.
Threat models, least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, and continuous logging for detection and investigation.
Data pipelines that track provenance, with evaluation criteria defined before training and results recorded for reproduction.
Workflows that run reliably on shared and high-performance infrastructure, so long calculations can be repeated and verified.
Our principles
We aim for designs that a capable engineer can understand without a tour, and for deliverables that leave our clients able to operate them. When a technology choice has trade-offs, we state them plainly, so the decision belongs to the people who will live with it.
Assumptions, interfaces and trade-offs are written down where everyone can see them.
Knowledge lives in documents and runbooks, not in anyone’s head.
If a requirement matters, a test, a drill or a measurement proves it.
Reference architecture
Whatever the domain, we favor architectures with few moving parts, clear boundaries and recovery that has been rehearsed.
Describe the context, the constraints and the outcome you need. A member of our team will respond within one business day to arrange a first discussion.
